Chapter 11 - Unbridled Little Crow

How could Lin Xiusong not notice when Wu Yaya was so blatantly infatuated with Yi Ling?

She warned her sister with surprising gravity on their way to the research center, “Yaya, don’t fall for Yi Ling. He’s not someone you can involve yourself with, can’t you tell? Scums like Yu Haowei hold nothing against that man. Whomever he wants to control would have absolutely no chance of escaping.

“At that point, he controls the person you are. Whether you’re good or evil, whether you’re a person or a ghost, it’ll all depend on his whims. I’m not just scaring you, I’ve been there myself.”

The older woman didn’t dare to mention too much about the Yi family, and merely hinted at it.

“Ah, oh, okay.” The girl nodded half-heartedly as she continued playing on her phone.

Whether Yi Ling was a good person or not was out of her consideration. She wasn’t even a person to begin with.

Lin Xiusong rubbed the girl’s head with a hint of worry and regret hiding in her eyes. What would she do if her sister landed in the hell that was Yi Ling right after jumping out of the firepit that was Yu Haowei? Had she made a mistake?

Her thoughts were still jumbled when they arrived at their destination. The sisters headed straight to the office on the top floor.

“Good evening, Doctor.” Wu Yaya walked in holding her purse, her ponytail swaying left and right behind her. She put more swing into her stride than other people, giving her hips a twist with every step, but it didn’t feel intentional at all. Instead, it only amplified her carefree languor.

It was a cute and delightful languor, to be exact—a sharp contrast to Lin Xiuzhu’s pale, haggard face.

Yi Ling was sitting on the couch, marking research reports his students had turned in. His eyes narrowed when he lifted his head to look at Wu Yaya. Somehow, that adorable, exaggerated gait seemed familiar.

The girl locked the door behind her, leaving a nervous Lin Xiusong stuck outside.

She tossed her purse carelessly on the couch beside Yi Ling and climbed onto her lounge chair, prepared especially for patients, without needing to be instructed.

First, she propped herself up with her arms, then she placed both of her knees on the chair. She wiggled her way to the backrest on all fours with her slender waist arched and her round butt in the air, all before plopping down into a heap.

The hem of her sheer satin skirt had ridden up during her crawl, barely covering her thighs anymore.

Haphazardly displayed before Yi Ling’s eyes was a pair of alabaster legs, straight and slender. They were crossed, one pink kneecap covering the other. Her ankles, so delicate they looked like they could snap with a simple touch, were placed next to each other. Ten plump toes curled and stretched restlessly.

The doctor was no stranger to bold admirers, so he was used to seeing all sorts of seduction.

Instinctively, he furrowed his brows. He glanced at the girl only to find her rummaging around the bowl of candies idly with a slender finger.

Swish, swash. The sounds of colourful candies clinking against the side of the bowl almost sounded like flowing water. That was the music of Wu Yaya picking out her favourite flavour. She only liked the huamei ones, but those seemed to be the most scarce.

And so, with every huamei candy she picked out, her toes would curl in excitement.

As it turned out, not only did her eyes tell what she was thinking, her restless toes showed the inner workings of her mind as well. She was greedy. She unwrapped a candy and stuffed it in her left cheek, then immediately opened another one to stuff into her right cheek, all the while holding onto a handful.

Swish, swash. She kept stirring the rainbow coloured candies. She only turned back to face Yi Ling once more, satisfied to know she had collected all the huamei-flavoured candies.

The doctor found himself with a lack of words as he looked at a face stretched by fruit candies.

If this were a seduction attempt, then there really was something wrong with her head…

The thought made Yi Ling laugh.

He grabbed a light blanket and laid it gently over a certain childish adult’s long, slender legs.

“Fanksh,” the girl mumbled. Saliva started drooling out the moment she opened her mouth, and she had to slurp it back in.

The doctor had to turn his head away to hide his smile.

“I forgot to ask last time, are you a boy or a girl?” He turned his head back and asked in a gentle voice.

To be so relaxed and unguarded in front of him, this child seemed to be lacking some awareness when it came to gender. Yi Ling took out his notebook and jotted down “gender” followed by a question mark.

The pink tip of Wu Yaya’s tongue peeked out and licked away the glistening droplets of sweet-and-sour saliva still lingering at the corners of her lips. She then smiled and said, “Doctor, if you like boys, then I’m a boy; if you like girls, then I’m a girl. Either way works for me.”

And that was the truth. If her client were a man, then she would turn into a man.

The doctor wasn’t taken aback by this “passionate” confession. He only took a meaningful look at the girl and asked, “What do you like about me?”

He was never interested in things like love. He saw no value in other people’s affection. But Wu Yaya was different. She was more intriguing.

Yi Ling had to admit, he liked this intrigue.

“Are my eyes really that attractive?” He was acutely aware of where the girl’s infatuation stemmed from.

“Yes! They’re the best looking in the world!” She nodded enthusiastically, later adding, “But your eyes are a part of you. That’s why I like you as well. After all, I can’t just gouge out your eyes.”

He was dumbstruck. That line reminded him of the little bird all those years ago.

But how could there be a connection between a human and a bird? That would be absurd.

Yi Ling snapped back to his senses and scribbled down another note, “Knows no taboo”.

Indeed, she was a child who knew no taboos. She didn’t care about gender, didn’t know right from wrong, and had no sense of law or morality. Her actions were purely based on her own whims. She would turn into a sociopath eventually if left unattended.

Yi Ling thought these things absentmindedly.

Wu Yaya crunched up the candy in her mouth and left the ones in her hands on the table. Then, she jumped down from the lounge chair and straddled the man, slender legs on either side of his waist and hands cupping his handsome face.

“Doctor, I want to kiss your eyes.” She tilted her head and said this alluring line with the most innocent voice and pure expression.

The sweet and sour scent of her words left him momentarily dazed.

Somehow, he could feel himself salivating.

He regained himself just in time to block his face with his notebook from her approaching lips.

Wu Yaya’s kiss landed on the book cover.

“Down,” Yi Ling ordered in a hoarse voice.

“No. I’ll only get off if you let me kiss you.” The girl refused to budge. Instead, she had her arms around his neck and rocked left and right on his lap like a spoiled child. Inevitably, her pert bottom brushed against his muscular thighs.

“Our session today is over.” The doctor put down his notebook and lifted the girl by her armpits.

He opened the office door and carried the girl out by her legs as if holding a child. He placed her in front of Lin Xiusong, his tone unusually restrained: “Take her away.”

The doctor strode back to his office, repeating “she knows no taboo” in his mind like a mantra.

The older woman looked at her sister with bewilderment, “What did you do to him? He’s got veins popping out from his temple.”

“I want to kiss him, but he won't let me. Stingy.” Wu Yaya scrunched her nose.

“...Okay, come on, you’re leaving with me right now!” The older woman said as she tugged on the girl’s arm.

The little crow wriggled free and barged into the office.

Yi Ling was rubbing the bridge of his nose with his glasses off. His unfiltered piercing eyes blazed with hostility as he stared at Wu Yaya. He didn’t like it when he wasn’t in control, and this girl was the greatest variable.

He stood up, ready to toss out the mischievous child once more, only for her to sidestep him. She picked up her purse from the couch, zipped it open, and swept the remaining few huamei candies into it, all before dashing off again.

She made such a re-entrance just for some candies.

Yi Ling, still on his utmost guard, remained entirely speechless.

Suddenly, he found himself quite ridiculous and chuckled to himself disapprovingly.

Surprise, bewilderment, forced restraint, frustration, vigilance… and finally the release of tension that dissolved into an exasperated laugh. This entire emotional rollercoaster unfolded in mere moments. No one thus far had been able to affect him so.

————

Lin Xiusong took her naughty sister home.

Several bodyguards approached her in shame, “We’re sorry, Mrs. Lin, but Yu Haowei escaped.”

Lin Xiusong didn’t care about that scum’s whereabouts, so she waved her hand and said, “That’s fine.”

Wu Yaya had expected as much as well. “Let him have his fun. He won’t be having many more joyous days,” she said with a smile.

————

Yu Haowei was indeed out seeking fun. Aside from Lin Xiuzhu, he was also dating a dozen other women. Each of them was devoted and obeyed his every command.

At the moment, he had crashed with one of these women, where his need was provided for.

This woman was completely brainwashed, just like Lin Xiuzhu. She remained devoted to him despite all of his abuse. The several abortions had worn down her uterus walls to paper. Just one more abortion could cost her motherhood.

Yu Haowei was her master, and she was his bitch.

Explicit pictures and videos of her had already been posted widely on the internet. On there, Yu Haowei’s face was blurred out while her face was left clearly recognizable. This caused her to be doxxed and cyberbullied.

She had fallen into depression and attempted suicide no fewer times than Lin Xiuzhu had.

Yet the source of her suffering, the man called Yu Haowei, was telling her, “Who else would want a secondhand trash like you? You should be grateful that I’m even with you.”

This was a common manipulation tactic.

The cruel man used these invisible techniques to systematically rob women of their dignity, sense of self, and pride. He stripped them bare, tore them apart, and left no shreds of their former selves intact.

That was how he reigned over women.

For a good while, he lived happily and the painful memories of the torment Lin Xiuzhu had inflicted on him gradually faded away.

One day, he was returning to the woman’s place after a night of carousing, reeking strongly of alcohol. But his knees buckled the moment he opened the door. He collapsed to his knees at the entrance with eyes wide from shock.

There she was, sitting squarely on the couch, as if waiting for his return. It was Wu Yaya. Cradled in her hands was a blood-soaked object wrapped in black thread. Splatters of blood covered the floor beneath her feet, the walls surrounding her, and the ceiling above.

The home was no longer a home. It was a bloody crime scene. The stench of blood assaulted his senses. He wanted to puke.
