Chapter 7 - Counter Evil with Crazy

The moment Wu Yaya got in the car, Lin Xiusong ordered the driver to lock the doors. The bodyguards had taken another car, following close behind them.

Obviously, this kind of entourage wasn’t a daily occurrence. Lin Xiuzhu may have made it in the business world, but she was far from the type of old money that Yi Ling was. She would never have hired the bodyguards if not for her sister’s situation.

Wu Yaya, now secured in the car, peered out the window. Her beady black eye traced the blobs of coloured lights that zoomed across the glass. She enjoyed the bustling and sparkly human world, but she could also appreciate the quiet comfort of a home.

She could live a happy life anywhere.

“Sister, take me to Yu Haowei.” Having had enough of the light show, she turned her head back and demanded matter-of-factly.

“What did you just say? You’re still going back to him?” Lin Xiuzhu’s voice rose to a shrill, her face the image of anger.

“Sister, I can’t let him go so easily.” Wu Yaya said in all seriousness.

“Lin Xiuzhu, can you be any more of a bitch? I’m trying to help you—”

The girl interjected, “Sister, I’m not Lin Xiuzhu. I’m Wu Yaya.”

The face that had been contorted by anger froze and melted into a look of deep sorrow. That’s right. She almost forgot. Her sister has a split personality now, all thanks to that bastard!

“There’s no saving Lin Xiuzhu anymore.” These cruel words were spoken most casually.

Lin Xiuizhu shook her head by instinct, “No, there has to be a way. I will find a way to save you two.”

“It’s too late.” Wu Yaya handed over her phone. “You’ll understand once you read her chat with Yu Haowei. That’s it for her.”

The older woman took the phone and scrolled through their chat history little by little. At first, she was only getting a little red in the eyes, but as she read on, she began shaking. She turned her head to look with eyes full of horror and disbelief.

The girl pressed on her stomach and said slowly, “She really did it. Her child, along with her womb, has all been taken out. Her soul started breaking when that part was removed from her body. And when she heard him fooling around with another girl over the phone just after she left the hospital, her soul was completely shattered.”

Wu Yaya pointed at her belly with a finger. “This is empty now,” she said.

Then, she pointed to her heart. “This is also empty.”

In a calm voice, she said, “Lin Xiuzhu has been killed thoroughly. Inside and out. There’s nothing left,” as she spread her hands.

Liu Xiusong suddenly pulled her sister into her arms and began wailing. How could this be? How could her sister have been tormented to this degree when she was looking away? Those words meant to drive a person dead, step by step. Those venomous words meant to strip away a person’s dignity, ego, and even life. How could they have come from a human being?

“I’m going to kill Yu Haowei! I’m going to kill him!” The older woman growled hoarsely into her sister’s ear. She gritted her teeth as if to crush them.

“Sister, that’s why I’m here.” Wu Yaya tilted her head to look at the woman, her voice as innocent as a child.

“Guess what Lin Xiuzhu’s last wish was before she fell into her deep slumber? Even after all this, she still didn’t want to be apart from Yu Haowei. He’s the one who took her soul and left her an empty husk. She can’t live on as a soulless body. That’s why she has to be together with Yu Haowei—she needs a container for her soul.”

The girl patted her sister’s back and comforted her, “Shh, don’t cry. I’m here to grant her wish. I will carve out Yu Haowei’s soul and make his body a vessel for Lin Xiuzhu instead.”

“From then on, Lin Xiuzhu’s wishes will be his command. If she wants him to be a dog, he could only crawl on the ground on all fours. You have to help me, sister. You have to take me back to Yu Haowei, or else I can’t do anything.”

Wu Yaya combed her fingers through Lin Xiusong’s hair and caressed her head reassuringly. The girl’s voice sounded crisp, laced with a touch of viscous hoarseness. This unique tone fell easily on the eardrum, enthralling the listener completely.

Lin Xiusong was almost convinced, but stopped herself just short of giving the nod, “I will not allow you to go back! You have to stay away from that man!”

“Dear sister, I’m not Lin Xiuzhu. He can’t control me.” Wu Yaya raised a single finger. “Give me one night to prove myself, please? If I can’t deal with Yu Haowei tonight, you can take me back. You can wait downstairs. That way, if anything were to happen, you can rush there to save me immediately. What do you think?”

The older woman began to soften.

“Plus, I also need to grab my stuff. Just one night. No, one evening is enough.” The girl shook Lin Xiusong’s arm back and forth, then buried her head into the older woman’s neck. She called out “sister” over and over again in a soft voice.

It melted the older woman’s heart. It was an intimacy they never had before. It was the type of raw reliance she had wished to experience for the past twenty-some years.

So this was what depending on each other felt like.

At this point, Lin Xiusong surrendered completely. She closed her eyes to bite back her tears. Then, she gave her sister’s head a nice rub. “I will wait for you downstairs. You only get six hours, got it? Any longer, and I will run up with the bodyguards to take you away. You need to be hospitalized, for fuck’s sake, you just had your uterus taken out!”

“Okay. Thanks, sister.” Wu Yaya let go of her sister’s arm immediately and knocked on the back of the front row seat, “Mr. Driver, please take me to a butcher shop, I need to buy something.”

----------------------------------------

Wu Yaya walked into an apartment with a black plastic bag. There was an empty plastic water bottle left by the doorway, waiting for the “lady of the house” to clean up after. The lady merely kicked it aside without a second glance. What she had her beady black eyes on was the man playing video games on his computer. The predator had locked in on her prey.

She left the plastic bag on the dining table and sat down across from Yu Haowei, judging him silently from head to toe.

Now that she was facing her target, the sliver of humanness she managed to pick up from her experience in the mortal realm so far had completely faded away. She had become the monster that she was. A sheer bloody mist emanated from her black orbs, drifting about under the lights.

Yu Haowei hadn’t noticed anything about Wu Yaya. To him, Lin Xiuzhu was just a toy on the verge of breaking. It was revolting to him even to spare her an extra glance.

He impeached her without looking away from his screen, “Why are you so late?”

A sickeningly sweet voice called out “Honey” through his headphones. It was his game-girlfriend. He never hid such relationships from Lin Xiuzhu. If she ever dared to speak against it, he could beat the hell out of her in a heartbeat.

The man warned her plenty before they started dating: that he had a bad temper, that he was a player, and that he wouldn’t settle down with anyone. It was Lin Xiuzhu who decided to throw herself at him despite all that. She deserved this kind of treatment.

Women are always drawn to bad men, thinking that they’ll have this epic grand romance, and eventually, he will change for the better. That was how Yu Haowei attracted women all the time.

But it would be wrong to consider whether someone’s nature could change, because nature wouldn’t be called nature if it could change.

Wu Yaya opened the black plastic bag and placed its contents lightly on the computer desk. Her bloodlusting eyes were still trained on her man.

Yu Haowei glanced at her and asked, “What is that?”

Placed next to his hand was a glass jar—two fleshy blobs soaked in water.

“This is my womb. I brought it back to show you. That smaller one is your child.” The girl tilted her head, as if waiting for his response.

The answer was so creepy that even a complete piece of shit that was Yu Haowei felt a chill run down his spine.

“Fuck!” He kicked back and pushed away from the desk, wanting to distance himself from that jar containing disgusting human parts.

“Are you nuts? Why would you bring this shit back?” The man tore off his headphones and questioned her angrily.

“I wanted to give them to you as a souvenir.” Wu Yaya caressed the jar.

Yu Haowei truly lived up to the label of being the worst, even amongst scums, for his attitude changed in a matter of seconds. He pulled out his phone and took several photos of the jar, which he posted in a group chat with the caption “Guess what this is.”

Uncontained excitement sparkled in his eyes as he typed. Clearly, he thought of the fleshy masses of the uterus and the fetus as his trophy. Every one of his relationships was doomed for the abyss of destruction.

The women who loved him laid at the bottom of the abyss as he towered over them on the edge, smirking mockingly at all the scattered remains.

The destroyed bodies brought him great pleasure.

“Oh, baby, I love this gift.” He so graciously gave the girl a smile in return.

The members of this group chat all jumped in on the guessing game. Yu Haowei leaned back in his chair and took great pleasure in seeing what people were coming up with. Everyone in that chat was a manipulation master. They often shared explicit images and videos of their prey on it.

In their eyes, women were merely playthings—playthings they could destroy to their hearts’ content and replace with new ones.

It was a cruel game that they played.

Yu Haowei pointed out the correct answer when someone finally said it. He replied, “This is Lin Xiuzhu’s uterus. That small chunk was the child in her belly. She said they’re souvenirs for me.”

That had the group in an uproar. They were showering him with praises for pulling off something so insane. The pinnacle of emotional manipulation was to successfully lead someone to commit suicide, but getting a uterus was much more thrilling. Lin Xiuzhu would have to suffer a life more painful than death.

These people revelled in the pain they inflicted, directly or indirectly, on another person.

Wu Yaya was appalled by how deprived this man was.

“His heart must be darker than my feathers,” She sighed as she shook her head. Then, she took the jar with her into the kitchen and clattered away busily.

Yu Haowei was chatting away on his phone and paid no mind to her.

Half an hour later, several plates of delicious food were placed on the dining table. Yu Haowei rolled over on his office chair and ate while playing on his phone, going right back to the game on his computer after he finished.

A few more rounds, and his phone rang from a video call. It was one of his friends from the manipulator masters group. The person on the other side spoke excitedly, “Bro, I heard Lin Xiuzhu cut out her uterus for you? Can you show me that lump of meat? I’ve never seen one in my life!”

The man smirked proudly, “Gimme a second, I’ll let you take a good look. Lin Xiuzhu, bring over my souvenir, I’m showing it to my bro!”

Wu Yaya tossed aside the mop in her hands and walked over. Leaning close to his ear, she whispered, “It’s gone. I minced my womb and your baby, and made them into meatballs for you. You said they tasted good, and finished the entire plate.”

Yu Haowei: …

Colour drained from his face, and his stomach churned.
