Chapter 8 - Crazier than Psychos

Even if Yu Haowei was sociopathic, he wasn’t twisted to the point where he remained unperturbed by everything. And amongst the most taboo is cannibalism.

The man looked at Wu Yaya with disbelief.

The girl in question pulled up a video from her phone and turned the screen towards him for him to see.

In the video, she took out the two lumps of flesh from a glass jar and minced them up. The meat was then seasoned, cooked, and served as a delicious dish. The video also included a carefully filmed clip where he practically inhaled that plate of food.

That proved it. He, Yu Haowei, had consumed human flesh, part of it was his child, too.

His hands flew to his mouth and muffled his retching. He could feel his stomach wrenching with his esophagus. He could hardly believe he had actually eaten something so disgusting! Even getting fed excrement would be better than this!

Noticing that his trembling fingers could no longer hold his phone, Wu Yaya lightly supported his wrist and slipped the phone out of his hands. She leaned it against the cup on the computer desk.

The man who was on a video call with Yu Haowei stared at the pair aghast. His face paled visibly, but the tinge of excitement in his eyes was barely hidden. He never expected Lin Xiuzhu to go as far as to feed Yu Haowei her own flesh.

What! A f*cking! Thrill!

The friend started a screen recording.

Wu Yaya circled behind the man, trapping his neck within her thin arms. Her cold lips whispered against his ear, “Yu Haowei, do you feel my love? It’s become a part of you. You’ve consumed a part of me. You have to love me forever now, alright?”

Her gaze was like the icy tongue of a snake, licking her prey’s face all over.

Yu Haowei felt sick. He started struggling violently. The thought of having eaten a woman’s private parts made him want to put his hand down his throat to claw out any bits he could.

He had to get to the bathroom!

The girl had his neck locked, though, restricting his movement. Those two slender arms tightened their grip, as if vines strangling a tree trunk.

“Will you love me forever? Hm? Will you?” Her breath was hot against his cheek, but the warmth could be felt as a bone-piercing chill against his eardrum.

Yu Haowei’s hands flew to his mouth, muffling the words he spoke, “Let me go, I need to puke!”

“I won’t let you go. We will be together for the rest of our lives.” Wu Yaya had her eyes trained on his profile. A strange, burning light crept up in her darkened eyes.

It was a profound confession, but the scene of their embrace seemed more like an execution.

The slender arms had tightened to the limit, to the point Yu Haowei’s eyes started rolling into the back of his head. The hands he had on his mouth moved to claw at the girl. However, the lack of oxygen was making him grow weak. His mouth opened, and gurgling sounds left his throat.

It was the final breath a person exhales when they are about to die.

That was when Wu Yaya loosened her grip on that man’s neck.

Yu Haowei immediately started gasping for breath, only to feel the aroma of the meat soup still adrift in the air in his lungs. That triggered another round of retching once he remembered what was in the soup. He hadn’t even started for the bathroom before he was overtaken by puking right at this computer desk.

The next moments were filled with spluttering sounds, and a pool of foul-smelling filth appeared on the desk.

Even though the spectator on the other side of the line had already tossed his phone away, he couldn’t tear his eyes away. The oddly coloured mush on the screen made him gag.

Wu Yaya jumped back in shock at first. Once she regained herself, she immediately pinned Yu Haowei’s arms behind his back and pulled on his hair. She muttered psychotically against his ear, “How dare you vomit out what was mine! Why? Do you not love me anymore? Are you disgusted by me?”

His offensive reaction seemed to have triggered her demons. Her calm face had twisted horrifically.

She pressed his head down, soaking his face into the pool of pungent filth. Her voice grated, “This is my love for you. Why don’t you want it? Eat it back down! All of it! I need a part of myself inside your body! We’ll be together forever! Eat, you hear that? Eat!”

Yu Haowei’s face was buried deep into the filthy mush, making thick, squelching sounds.

His friend gagged again.

The man who boasted a height of over 180 cm could do nothing against the girl's control. He had been nauseous, then choked for breath, and finally vomited. His strength had been drained.

When his face was pressed against the table, he kept his mouth closed, but he still needed to breathe through his nose and had inhaled some of his own vomit.

Some of the filth had entered his airway, making him cough.

Coughing required him to open his mouth, which allowed globs of putrid fluid slip down his throat. An unbearably nauseating taste lingered on his tongue. He actually ate his own vomit!

“Euw, euw, euw…”

Yu Haowei vomited again, and Wu Yaya pressed his head down into the vile pool again. He vomited as he ate, and ate as he vomited.

“Euw!” The friend had seen more than enough and ran to the bathroom at top speed to have an intimate hug with the toilet.

This is Crazy! Crazy! Lin Xiuzhu’s really gone crazy! Even the psychos in the loony bin are no match for her!

“Xiaozhu, I- I’m sorry- euw! Please let me go! Euw!” The man began to beg for mercy. His voice took on a tone that hadn’t existed for him before, choking with a sob.

“Do you love me?” Wu Yaya pulled hard on his scalp, but her voice was dripping with gentleness.

“I- I love you! Euw! Of course I love you!” Yu Haowei shouted breathily.

The girl tilted her head at him, her eyes a dark fog of imperceptible depth. Moments later, as if finally satisfied, she dragged the man who just had a “great meal” by his hair to the bathroom and tossed him under the showerhead.

She took the showerhead in her hand and turned the knob to the hottest setting. The water splashed over Yu Haowei’s head.

The man didn’t dodge the water, since he needed to wash away all the disgusting stuff on him.

But before long, the water had become a thermal weapon, blistering his face. His skin was boiling, and he let out a bloodcurdling scream.

No one seemed to mind that scream. He had abused Lin Xiuzhu every day, so their neighbours were used to this noise.

Yu Haowei crawled around the bathroom floor with his eyes closed.

Meanwhile, Wu Yaya was sitting on the ledge of the tub, aiming the showerhead in her hand at the man. The bloodlust in her eyes melted away, turning into bemusement. She was a spirit who hadn’t had intelligence for that long. Of course, she saw humans as toys.

The other residents might not have minded the scream, but Lin Xiusong, who was waiting downstairs, certainly did.

She thought something had happened to her sister, and led the team of bodyguards to kick down the door. She was stunned to find a mess on the computer desk and the poor, bloodied state Yu Haowei was in.

“Let’s take him to the hospital. Can’t have him dying already.” Wu Yaya tossed the showerhead to the side, and said with regrettable relenting.

“Huh? Oh, yes!” Lin Xiusong waved her hand, “Get this dead swine out of here!”

A doctor was treating the blisters on Yu Haowei’s face.

He was inhaling sharply from the pain, but didn’t open his mouth to take this to the police. Lin Xiusong was here well. She would tell the police about what Lin Xiuzhu had gone through, and the subsequent investigations would not be in his favour. After all, inciting suicide is a crime.

He could only suck it up.

Wu Yaya sat down beside him. She held his hand tightly and comforted him in a soft voice, “Pain, pain, fly away. It’ll all be better once you get the ointment on there.”

Affection filled the girl’s face, as if she was willing to do anything for her boyfriend. But she was the one who caused these wounds.

Yu Haowei glared at her, eyes burning with anger, but also a hint of unease.

Now that he was among people, and he was no longer suffering from abuse, his brain slowly regained its ability to think. He revisited everything the woman had done, and he came to the realization— this woman was insane! Who the f*ck on earth would cut out her own uterus, mince it to make food, and feed it to her boyfriend? Wouldn’t that be a freak?

Her manic expressions, the chilling interrogation… she was like an evil spirit demanding love. No sane person would do what she did.

She was crazy!

The man couldn’t contain a shudder and hissed again from the pain.

Wu Yaya anxiously leaned in to gently blow on his face. She soothed him in a low voice, “Let me blow on it. It’ll help with the pain.”

The doctor smiled at this childish gesture, but Yu Haowei could only feel his body go cold.

For some reason, the air coming from Lin Xiuzhu smelled of blood. Her eyes grew darker the closer she leaned.

Her gentle brushing against him felt like a monster licking him. A shiver vibrated through his skin and bones.

His anger dissipated, but his malevolence remained. His arrogance as the master also receded. What welled up instead was a bone-chilling fear. He was scared.

He was fearing the woman he had been playing in his hands!

This woman still loved him deeply, but she was beyond his control. Her obsessive love had driven her mad!

Outside, in the corridor, Lin Xiusong was on the phone with Yi Ling.

The psychiatrist’s calm voice sounded from the speaker. “Did she really buy a pig’s uterus and placenta to feed to Yu Haowei?”

“Yes, she lied to him, saying that they’re hers.” The older woman held an unlit cigarette in her mouth. She sounded both worried and secretly pleased, “Yu Haowei almost puked out his guts, and his face is filled with peeling blisters. Before, it was he who was dishing out the harm. This was the first time I’ve seen my sister get him in such a sorry state. I feel like my sister’s alter ego is a little… a little…”

Ling Xiusong was searching for a better description, but Yi Ling said it for her, “A little crazy, right?”

The woman hesitated, but then nodded reluctantly. “Yes, she’s acting very extreme. I'm a bit scared. Of course, I know she won’t hurt me. I'm just afraid she might—”

The psychiatrist interrupted her. “Then bring her over for a psychiatric evaluation. We're a court-designated assessment center.”

“Huh?” Lin Xiusong couldn't follow his logic.

Yi Ling had to clarify it for her. “Individuals diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder are considered persons with limited capacity for civil conduct.”

In other words, if Lin Xiuzhu were to accidentally kill Yu Haowei, the psychiatric evaluation would exempt her from prison time.

The woman’s brain finally clicked, and she thanked the man profusely.

Yi Ling pondered with a solemn expression for a moment after hanging up the phone. Then, he smiled wryly as he shook his head. That little kid was quite vicious. She was really holding back when she only slapped him on the forehead.
